Bathrooms always get messy - whether it's the toilet, bath, shower or sink - it often feels like you're scrubbing away constantly to no avail.

One of the worst bathroom bug bears comes in the form of hard water stains, as they build up on surfaces quickly yet prove to be a real pain to remove.

Thankfully, a cleaning guru has discovered an inexpensive 12p hack that melts away those marks in just seconds.

Jenna - who boasts more than 1.1 million followers on account @fromhousetohome - shared her game-changing hack on popular-video streaming service TikTok.

"How am I only learning about this now?" She questioned.

"Parchment paper gets rid of hard water stains.

"I'm sorry, what?! I've been scrubbing this shower for hours - please tell me I'm not the only person who didn't know this."

In the video clip, Jenna rubbed the parchment paper, otherwise known as baking paper, across water stains that had built up on her shower.

Within just seconds, the pesky stains simply melted away.

Parchment paper can be purchased from popular supermarket Asda for the cost of just £1.25 for 10m. Meanwhile, Wilko sells a 5m pack for just 70p.

The hack costs the equivalent of just (12.5p/mr), but you'll most likely find the common product hiding at the back of your kitchen drawers.

Since sharing the video online, Jenna's clip has raked in over 300 comments - where TikTok users were stunned by the inexpensive hack.

One person wrote: "WHAT!!! No way!!"

"I'm trying this," a second added. Fingers crossed."

A fourth penned: "Bamboozled."

"I did not know that either," someone else admitted.
