During the story of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, players have to unlock 4 faucets in the Water Temple by finding the solutions to different puzzles.
The Water Temple in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is covered in a sludge that prevents players from progressing until they find solutions for each puzzle connected to 4 faucets. The water that flows from these faucets helps restore The Great Wellspring of Hyrule to its former glory, but it can be difficult without help. Players will have to rely on the abilities of their ally Sidon or use certain items to complete this Temple.
Link discovers the Water Temple after swimming up from the Wellspring Islands, with a Zonai device being blocked off at its center by a massive deluge of slime. Players must activate four hidden faucets inside the Temple to clear this sludge fully. Before beginning this series of puzzles, Sidon asks if players are prepared, giving them more time to collect items from Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom that might help here, including Splash Fruit or Chuchu Jelly.

Once players have decided to start finding the faucets, the easiest one to reach is on Floor B1 of the Water Temple dungeon. From the central area, a ramp to the west leads down to a door blocked by jets of fire. To get past the fire unharmed, players can use Sidon's ability to cover Link in a watery shield or activate the Ultrahand skill in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and move a nearby Hover Stone to block the flames.
Hover Stones are objects that stay in the air when players place them with Ultrahand, making them great for creating platforms. To deactivate these devices into regular stones with gravity, players only need to hit the Hover Stone with a melee weapon. A small pressure plate to the left of the room past the fire jets can be activated to turn off the flames by deactivating a Hover Stone on top of it to let in Link's allies from Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
Players have to use Ultrahand on Hover Stones to transport a small orb across a pit of spikes to solve the B1 faucet puzzle of the Water Temple.
Below the area players step into, a small orb across a pit of spikes must be brought back to the entrance. Jumping down to the section before the spikes shows a Hover Stone that players can use to make a platform to attach the orb onto. The spikes themselves are easily flown over using the paraglider in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, with the Ascend ability helping players reach the first area again through one of the Stones already set in the room.
Moving the orb and Hover Stone close to the wall before the spikes lets players take the orb out from the fusion in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. A hole in the wall to the player's right is the perfect space for the orb, activating a wall to open and reveal a faucet switch. Link can solve this puzzle by striking the switch either by making a melee attack with Sidon's water shield around them or using a weapon infused with a water attack.
The subsequent faucet sits west on the Water Temple's first floor, across a series of floating platforms players can move across. Once players get up to a much larger area, three Construct enemies from Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom attack for Link to defeat. There are several patches of sludge here, with one to the right on top of a Zonai bubble cube that players should use Sidon's ability to dissolve.
Players need to use Sidon's ability to create a water bubble around Link before a wave is sent out with a melee attack in order to activate faucet handles and get rid of sludge in the Water Temple puzzles.
A large orb floating in the water here must be brought over the now clean cube with Ultrahand. Since the Zonai bubble in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom cube shoots water bubbles up toward a higher platform, players can place the orb in front of the cube until a water bubble captures the orb. Releasing the orb into the bubble takes it up to the platform, with Link able to follow by getting in a bubble too.
Another large body of water sits on the higher platform, with Hover Plates floating close by. To reach the faucet under the water, players can move one of the Plates and attach it to the stone mechanism. Moving the mechanism up creates a wall that drains the water, which should move the orb right into a hole that opens the faucet, solving the puzzle in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
The upper island to the east can be reached using Ascend after players defeat a Fire Like on a smaller ledge they may glide toward from the south of the main Zonai device. Here, a spinning block is guarded by some Constructs and Chuchu Jellies in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom that are easy enough to deal with. Some Hover Stones also float around here, and players are recommended to get onto one close to the block.
Players need to shoot a water-infused arrow into the spinning block to drain the water and expose the 1F East faucet at the Water Temple.
A block moves fast in the mechanism that players have to shoot with an arrow while making sure their weapon has a Chuchu Jelly or Splash Fruit from Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom on it. While jumping in the air, players can use a slow-time bow shot to hit the mechanism inside. When the device in the block turns green, the body of water drains, exposing the faucet for players to solve the puzzle here.
In the middle of the Temple, players might notice a waterfall hole blocked by sludge that they can release using a fused water weapon from the Water bubble in the center area. Using the waterfall that appears allows players to swim up, assuming they have the Zora Armor. Unfortunately, several bubbles are floating around here from a series of broken platforms to the left, so players must use Link's new Recall ability in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom to swim in one back to where it was.
Players have to use the Recall ability on a floating water bubble to reach the platform that hosts the 1F Northeast faucet puzzle at the Water Temple.
Jumping from the bubble puts players on a larger platform with a water wheel near a large stream of water. Two wooden planks are under the wheel, which players can attach to opposite ends of the wheel. Doing this gives Link a chance to use Ultrahand to start the water wheel in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom by moving the longer planks under the waterfall.
The electricity generated by the water wheel shows up in a yellow line circuit, which unfortunately doesn't reach the faucet gate at the end of the island. However, players can move a Water bubble in between the empty space between the circuit walls to conduct the electricity to the gate. This solution opens up the final faucet puzzle at the Water Temple in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, letting players face the boss within.
