Hartselle police say a man attempted to film a 12-year-old in a bathroom stall at a Walmart last month.
Blake Thomas Lorance, 19, of Hartselle, was arrested May 26 and charged with aggravated criminal surveillance. He was arrested and booked into the Morgan County Jail on a $2,500 bond.
According to court documents, on May 21st, a 12-year-old shopping at Walmart with his grandmother went into a bathroom stall. When he was exposed, he noticed a cellphone with the camera turned up being held from the adjoining stall.
He yelled, and the person holding the camera left the bathroom. However, the victim was able to glimpse the person's shorts and shoes, according to documents.
The victim reported the incident to police, who used the clothing description to find video footage of the person, later identified as Lorance.
