Residents in Guthrie are concerned about "murky" tasting and smelling water.
Now, residents want to know where it's coming from and how it's getting fixed. The same reason a Guthrie community pool is closed is the same reason residents may be smelling or tasting funny water.
The city said it's because they need more water from mother nature.

"We want to be able to use that water and not have our things smell bad or taste bad. I won't even feed my Guiney pigs this water," Jill Cammack, a Guthrie resident, said.
It's a problem many Guthrie residents have been smelling and tasting.
"You turn the water on and you smell it immediately coming out of your faucets," Cammack said.
KOCO 5 asked her to describe the taste and smell.
"The dirty part of the lake, where it's just kind of muddy and stays that way. That's really what it smells like, and tastes like, too," Cammack said.

It's an odor and taste they said is unbearable. When KOCO 5 reached out to the city, they said it was because of low water levels at their lakes.
It was an issue KOCO 5 first reported on in May. The drought is also affecting their community pool as they work to conserve water there.
"If we’re saving those many gallons of thousands of water, why can't we make our water taste better and smell better?" Cammack said.
The city of Guthrie Public Works explained the water is safe to drink, and they activated a system two weeks ago that is meant to treat the water for odor and taste. Residents said it isn't helping yet.
"There's a lot of us in Guthrie, and a lot of us have to drink the city water, so it would be great if it tasted better," Cammack said.
The city said while they recognize the issue and they are doing what they can, residents can change filters to help.
