Under the new policy, students will be asked to leave their IDs with staff members supervising the bathroom area, who will then scan the IDs for verification.

Once verified, the student will be allowed to enter the restroom and can retrieve their ID upon leaving. The bathrooms will also now feature doors, instead of the previous walled entrances and exits.

In addition, all of the school's bathrooms will be monitored by staff stationed outside the area to ensure student safety.

However, Hatcher emphasized that the bathrooms will be unlocked at all times and that no student will be prevented from using the restroom when needed.

Hatcher explained that the new policy is designed to enhance the safety, security, and supervision procedures that the school already has in place.
