Hairspray star Ricki Lake has taken to social media with a completely naked snap as she posed up a storm in the bath whilst on a retreat in California.

The 54-year-old actress explained that she has embraced her body and age in "complete self-acceptance".

In the stunning picture, the star had her arms crossed over her chest as she sat in a bathtub in the middle of the woods.

She leaned back and had a big smile on her face as she channeled mother nature.

In the caption, the former talk show host wrote: "Hands down, these days are the best of my life.

"54 1/2 years old (young!).

"Grateful for all that had to happen for me to get to here.

"A place of complete self-acceptance and self-love. … #nature #redwoods #love #gratitude #groundedeuphoria #selflove."

Ricki then gave a shoutout to her husband Ross Burningham "Every adventure is the most fun ever."

She also explained that Mill Valley is "the s***."

Friends and fans instantly flocked to the comments section to praise the star of her self-positivity.

Rosie O'Donnell wrote: "I can't explain how much I adore u."

Actress Rachael Harris replied: "You just keep getting better and better lady."

Ross and Ricki got married in a beautiful clifftop ceremony last year.

Last January, Ricki took to social media with a picture of her and Ross together and thanked everyone who helped pull off the wedding with only two and half weeks of preparation.

They got married in the back garden of Ricki's home which had a flawless view of the Pacific Ocean.

The bride kept it ultra-casual for her outdoor ceremony and was seen in photos rocking a printed yellow caftan with flowers tucked into her hair.

A small group of close friends and family were on hand to witness the intimate nuptials and celebrate the new husband and wife.

Ricki and Ross had been dating for around nine months before they got engaged early last year.
