Growing up, my family took many vacations with mountains as its backdrop, rather than beaches. These trips hold some of my fondest memories, as well as a few I'd like to forget. For instance, the discomfort (and frustration) of having to share a camper bathroom with my younger sister and parents. Or utilizing communal washrooms provided by the multiple campgrounds we visited. The poor lighting and small size of these restroom mirrors often left me wondering if my mascara had ever made it onto my eyelashes.

I'll be spending more time camping this summer, so I knew I needed to find a makeup mirror that would help resolve my lack of lighting and space problems. It had to be portable, so I could take it with me from my bedroom to a camper and everywhere in between. It had to provide light, so I could do my makeup with ease without having to search for a well-lit spot. And since I always overpack, it had to be slim enough to fit in a crowded bag. My personal favorite is the warm setting because it is the least jarring of the three and makes my makeup application look stunning.

The mirror arrived at my door fully charged, which it's designed to hold for over 60 minutes of continuous light. For those who like to keep their makeup regime simple (like me), the hour-long charge goes a long way. In fact, I've owned this mirror for about a month and haven't needed to recharge it yet.
